REMOTE VESSEL INSPECTION
“Smart Ship© Hub” has collaborated with Cisco Webex to facilitate remote inspection facility in vessels. We have integrated the video conferencing feature to maximize accuracy in vessel inspection, maintenance, repair and crew health monitoring. The vessel inspections can be conducted from remote location, ensuring adherence to the regular inspection timelines and maximum vessel uptime. “Smart Ship© Hub” offers live streaming and recording facility for inspections and audits. With this collaboration, “Smart Ship© Hub” is taking a giant step towards tackling the unprecedented challenges raised by COVID-19 pandemic. High demand, limited vessel capacity, and supply shortage post COVID-19 pandemic led to vessel shortage and delays in vessel availability, which further delayed due to the delayed physical vessel inspections that ensure adherence to domestic and international guidelines. Remote inspection technique will enable immediate inspection and audit to increase the vessel uptime and bridge the demand-supply gap. With this remote inspection feature, we have made a practical solution to unnecessary delays in vessel movement caused by time-taking and re-scheduled physical vessel inspections.We are taking digital transition in marine transport ahead with video conferencing and many other features.
• Facility to conduct video conferencing even with low bandwidth has significant potential to fasten regulatory and safety inspections, saving the losses over the wait time in physical examination. We are stepping up as the marine technology that boosts the ship's uptime and movement in the remote locations across the globe.
• The multi-party compatibility feature helps surveyors, auditors and inspection engineers to come on board, on one channel and take collaborative decisions.
•Facility to record videos in cases of non-availability of network is available, which immediately gets transmitted to concerned authority under favorable network conditions. Now remotely cover areas like Engine Room of the vessel with/without internet connectivity.
• The video conferencing and recording feature in the mobile and web dashboard will ensure high level accuracy and convenience in vessel inspections. It will bring down the cost and effort involved in physical data collection.
