Great Eastern Shipping Company to deploy Smart Ship Hub platform fleet-wide

29 October 2025

Great Eastern Shipping Company (GESCO) has agreed a deal to implement the Smart Ship Hub digital platform across its fleet of tankers and bulkers, to support real-time condition monitoring and predictive diagnostics for vessels and onboard machinery.

The software will be used to monitor main engine performance, manage diesel generators, optimise fuel use, and track hull and propeller efficiency, with the aim of improving operational reliability and reducing maintenance costs through automated alerts and predictive analytics.

Indian private fleet owner GESCO will also use Singapore-based Smart Ship Hub’s tools to support compliance monitoring and carbon footprint management, with vessel data aggregated into a centralised system to improve internal reporting and support decision-making across technical and commercial teams.

“With Smart Ship Hub’s cutting-edge technology, we are advancing towards a more intelligent and efficient fleet management system,” said Imtiyaz Mulla, Head Technical/Projects at GESCO.

“The adoption of real-time insights, predictive diagnostics, and AI-driven optimisations is a strategic move to reinforce our commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.”
